Chase Petty at KTM Junior Supercross Challenge - St. Louis, MO
This page is dedicated to my good friend and racing buddy, Chase Petty of Hurst, Texas.
Chase and I are good friends and we race together. Chase is really fast and he is really dedicated to the sport of Motocross. He rides hard and always tries his very best. Chase and his family are part of what makes going to the races fun for me and my family. We always look forward to seeing them at the track.
Chase was selected to participate in a very special event called the KTM Junior Supercross Challenge (KJSC). KTM North America sponsors these events and the KJSC races are held at select AMA Supercross events throughout the USA. At each KJSC event, 20 riders, age 7-8 are selected to participate and race on the very same Supercross track as their motocross hero's. The KJSC participants race as a part of the main evening program in front of crowds in excess of 40,000 spectators.
During the day of the event, the KJSC participants are treated as full fledged FACTORY RACERS. They attend the riders meeting, have an autograph session to sign autographs for the fans and have two rounds of practice, just like the professionals. Then, just like the pros, they line 'em up and race.
It is a great honor just to be selected, but Chase finished on the podium, pulling off a third place finish!
Here are some pictures of the event and of Chase in action...

That's Chase right in the middle in front of the big guy (Chase's dad).
These guys get all kinds of neat things from the sponsors of the KJSC event. They get new race pants, jersey, helment, goggles, cap, tee shirts and a bunch of other stuff, too.

The line up of proud KJSC competitors.

Looking good and going fast!

Here's Chase on the JumboTron!

Here's Chase's podium interview. What a star!!!

I do not know when in the day this picture was taken. However, I do know it is the most important picture of the participants. Chase leads a prayer to thank God and give all of the glory to our Lord Jesus Christ. Chase is a fine young man and a great testimony to all he comes in contact with. I have never met a young man so open in his belief in God and his commitment to Jesus as Lord and Savior. Belive in God and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. It is through God that all good things happen.
